309 Superior colliculusPontine gray existsautoradiography
Case pg294, fig5. Soma notes The main focus of the inj site of case48: 1.5mm lateral to the midline & extended approx 1.6mm roscau, 1.8mm medlat & 1.9mm dorsvent dirns. The site covered all layers of the SC, sparse dist of grains over dorslat edge of PAG. Terminal notes label representing terminal fields was obs primarily over caud 1/2 of lat and dormed regions of basilar pons & NRTP. Little or no silver grain accumulation over venlat peduncular region (see medial case).

Case pg292, fig4. Soma notes orthograde transport of labeled amino acids. Case89: med. 1/2 of SC; 1.3mm roscau.; 1.6mm medlat.; 1.2mm dorven. focus of autoradiographic label over ventral layers of SC (SCig--SCdw) with slight encroachment on dorsal edge of central gray. Terminal notes label localized to caudal 1/2 of pons?over peduncular and dorsomedial subdivisions of the basilar ponine nuclei & NRTP. In summary neurons of SCmedial give rise to terminal field over ipsi lateral peduncular regions & conta dormed NRTP.
