Entorhinal area, lateral part | Endopiriform nucleus ventral part |
moderate/strong | PHAL | Portions of the ventral endopiriform nucleus located adjacent to densely labeled portions of the basal nucleus also contained many labeled fibers. Collator note: Epv is labeled caudally quite strongly. See Fig. C1-D1, Swanson Atlas Levels 29-31. | McDonald AJ & Mascagni F., 1997 |

light/moderate | PHAL | Collator note: weak-moderate labeling of the caudal EPV. See Fig. 3D2, Swanson Atlas Levels 29. | McDonald AJ & Mascagni F., 1997 |

General description technique/protocol: The amygdaloid projections in case E-24 were typical of animals with injections into the DL (Fig. 3A1–G1). The injection site in this case involved layers III–V of the dorsal part of the DL at middle rostrocaudal levels of this cortical region (Figs 1E, 2A). Collator note: injection into the mid-rostrocaudal ENTv. dorsolaterally placed, below the rhinal fissure. The injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 38-39. |
