Entorhinal area, lateral part | Basomedial nucleus of the amygdala anterior part |
moderate | PHAL | The lateral and accessory basal nuclei received a moderate projection. Collator note: BLAp is distinguishable only rostrally. See Fig A1-B1, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-28. | McDonald AJ & Mascagni F., 1997 |

Entorhinal area, lateral part | Basomedial nucleus of the amygdala anterior part |
moderate/strong | PHAL | There was a very strong projection to the lateral, basal and accessory basal nuclei in case E-88 (Fig. 3A2–G2). Collator note: moderate-strong labeling, comparative to the very strong connection of the CEAc. BMAa is labeled mostly rostrally. See Fig. 3B2, Swanson Atlas Levels 27-28. | McDonald AJ & Mascagni F., 1997 |

General description technique/protocol: The amygdaloid projections in case E-24 were typical of animals with injections into the DL (Fig. 3A1–G1). The injection site in this case involved layers III–V of the dorsal part of the DL at middle rostrocaudal levels of this cortical region (Figs 1E, 2A). Collator note: injection into the mid-rostrocaudal ENTv. dorsolaterally placed, below the rhinal fissure. The injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 38-39. |
