Paragigantocellular reticular nucleus lateral part | Paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus, magnocellular division, posterior magnocellular part |
strong | PHAL | The single feature common to all projections arising from the A1 region was the presence of a prominent plexus of labeled fibers in the posterior magnocellular part of the PVH, more specifically to its posterolateral aspect (see Fig. 4), where magnocellular vassopressinergic neurons are clustered (see Fig. 1). | Cunningham E.T. & Sawchenko P.E., 1988 |

General description technique/protocol: Ten rats received lectin deposits in the caudal ventrolateral medulla that were effective in projections to the PVH and SO...The most prominent inputs to the PVH and the SO were seen after deposits near the rostral limit of this zone, at the level of the caudal aspect of the area postrema (Fig. 2). Collator note: A1 region of Dahlstrom-Fuxe corresponds to the PGNRl (Swanson 2004). The lectin deposit in Figure 2 may be represented in levels 66-67 of the Swanson 1998 rat brain atlas. |
