Dense labeling was found in the parietal cortex, where labeled fibers were located in a restricted part of area 1 (Par1), which corresponds to the primary somatosensory cortex. Labeled fibers and terminal-like elements were concentrated mainly in layers I–III and VI and to a lesser extent in layers IV–V. In this cortical area they formed a distinct columnar termination zone. Collator note: the terminal field is located in the caudal part of the SSp. See Fig. 1F-H, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-32 (-2.0 - -3.8 mm from bregma).

In the parietal cortex, the labeling was located in layers I–III and VI of Par 1 and in layers I–III and V–VI of Par 2 (Fig. 7A,B). Collator note: quite strong labeling in layer I, while the deeper layers are labeled moderately. The labeling is more caudal. See Fig. 6F-H, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-32 (-2.0 - -3.8 mm from bregma).

General description technique/protocol: […] PHA-L injection was placed in a site of the medial frontal cortex whose ICMS evoked eye movements only. The injection site was confined within the gray matter and contained dense deposits of brown reaction product that did not spread further than 600 micrometers in the tangential plane (Fig. 2A). The core of the injection site was located in layer V. Collator note: small PHAL injection in the mid-rostrocaudal MOs, mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 16-17 (0 mm from bregma, Fig. 1D).
