Secondary motor area | Supplemental somatosensory area |
not present | PHAL | No labeling was seen in area 2 (Par 2), which corresponds tothe secondary somatosensory cortex. | Guandalini P., 1998 |

Secondary motor area | Supplemental somatosensory area |
moderate | PHAL | In the parietal cortex, the labeling was located in layers I–III and VI of Par 1 and in layers I–III and V–VI of Par 2 (Fig. 7A,B). Collator note: the labeling pattern in SSs is different than that in SSp. The label across layers is more homogeneous. The terminal field is more caudal. See Fig. 6F-G, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-32 (-2.0 - -2.8 mm from bregma). | Guandalini P., 1998 |

General description technique/protocol: […] PHA-L injection was placed in a site of the medial frontal cortex whose ICMS evoked eye movements only. The injection site was confined within the gray matter and contained dense deposits of brown reaction product that did not spread further than 600 micrometers in the tangential plane (Fig. 2A). The core of
the injection site was located in layer V. Collator note: small PHAL injection in the mid-rostrocaudal MOs, mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 16-17 (0 mm from bregma, Fig. 1D). |
