These columns continued rostrally into TE1 (Fig. 3h). The axonal plexus was most prominent in layers I-IV but some fibers were also evident in deeper layers. Collator note: strong columnar labeling in the caudal AUDp. See Fig. 3e-Hh Swanson Atlas Levels 37-39.

Labeled axonal plexuses were present dorsal and ventral to the injection site, in temporal cortical fields TE1, TElv, TE2d, and TE3v (Fig. 4e-g). Collator note: Swanson Atlas Levels 34-39
Romanski LM & LeDoux JE, 1993
General description technique/protocol: In four cases (PHA-L cases 20,43,66,73) the injection site was restricted to TE1, the dorsal aspect, sparing the transitional, ventral portion, TE1v. PHA-L case 43 (Figs. 2, 3) was a typical injection of dorsal TE1. Collator note: PHAL injection in the mid-rostrocaudal AUDp. The injection is completely included in the region, and it is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 34-35.
