87490 Gustatory areasCentral nucleus of amygdala capsular part lightbiocytin
The medial (CM), intermediate (CI), and lateral capsular subdivisions of the central nucleus contained only scattered fibers. Collator note: Fig 6A-B, caudal part of these regions.

87499 Gustatory areasCentral nucleus of amygdala capsular part very strongbiocytin
At the level of the caudal end of the central nucleus (Fig. 7C), scattered fibers were present in the most lateral part of the basolateral nucleus but this labeling increased in density and extended medially in more caudal sections (Fig. 7D). Collator note: very strong labeling in the dorsomedial of the mid-rostrocaudal part of the CEAc. See Fig 7A, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-27.
Shi C.J & Cassell M.D., 1998
General description technique/protocol: Case 20 (Figs. 3I, 4) had an injection into the deep layers of dPI (the gustatory dysgranular zone of Cechetto and Saper, 1987) at 1.4 mm anterior to bregma. Collator note: small bioctyin injection in the rostral part of the GU. The injection is completely included in the region, and it is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Level 12.
