87484 Gustatory areasBasolateral nucleus of the amygdala anterior part moderate/strongbiocytin
Collator note: quite strong terminal field in the rostral part of the BLAa. See Fig. 5G, Swanson Atlas Level 26 (-1.8 mm from bregma).

87486 Gustatory areasBasolateral nucleus of the amygdala anterior part lightbiocytin
In the basolateral nucleus (BL), light labeling was seen in both the anterior (magnocellular) subdivision (BLA) and the most caudolateral part of the posterior (parvicellular) subdivision (BLP). Collator note: BLAa is lightly labeled caudally. See Fig. 5H, Swanson Atlas Level 29 (-2.8 mm from bregma).

87496 Gustatory areasBasolateral nucleus of the amygdala anterior part not presentbiocytin
In contrast [with LA], the anterior basolateral nucleus was devoid of labeling (Fig. 7A). Collator note: few terminals in the caudal part of the BLAa. Very weak at best. See Fig. 7A-C, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-29.
Shi C.J & Cassell M.D., 1998
General description technique/protocol: Case 20 (Figs. 3I, 4) had an injection into the deep layers of dPI (the gustatory dysgranular zone of Cechetto and Saper, 1987) at 1.4 mm anterior to bregma. Collator note: small bioctyin injection in the rostral part of the GU. The injection is completely included in the region, and it is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Level 12.

Further details associated to record number 87496:
Position of injection: rostral
Topological position of injection: is contained
Extension of injection outside: none
The injection was performed in: left hemisphere
