strong | Fluorogold | Many retrogradely labeled cells were noted in the piriform cortex. The majority was located in the posterior part of the piriform cortex, in Layers II and III and almost exclusively on the ipsilateral side (Fig. 3G–M). General description technique/protocol: This case has a large FG injection in APir which involved slightly the caudolateral part of the posterior basolateral amygdaloid nucleus (Figs. 1, 2A). The results suggest that APir receives widespread inputs, most of them from ipsilateral telencephalic regions (Fig. 3; Table 1). Collator note: large FG injection in the TR, mid-rostrocaudally. The core of the injection is placed in the TR, Swanson Atlas Levels 35-36, but a small part of the halo extends minimally into COApm and more rostrally into BLAp. The entire injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 33-36. |
