90859 Cortical nucleus of the amygdala posterior part lateral zonePostpiriform transition area moderate/strongFluorogold
Moderate to substantial retrograde labeling was noted in olfactory amygdaloid nuclei including the anterior amygdaloid area (Fig. 3G), anterior cortical, anterior basomedial (Fig. 3G,H), and the posterolateral and posteromedial cortical nuclei (Figs. 3I–M, 4A) [...]. Collator note: COApl is strong-moderately labeled in layers I-III rostrally, See Fig. 3I-J, Swanson Atlas Levels 28-30.

90860 Cortical nucleus of the amygdala posterior part lateral zonePostpiriform transition area moderateFluorogold
Collator note: moderate labeling of the COApl in the caudal part, layer II. See Fig. I-J, Swanson Atlas Levels 31-33.

General description technique/protocol: This case has a large FG injection in APir which involved slightly the caudolateral part of the posterior basolateral amygdaloid nucleus (Figs. 1, 2A). The results suggest that APir receives widespread inputs, most of them from ipsilateral telencephalic regions (Fig. 3; Table 1). Collator note: large FG injection in the TR, mid-rostrocaudally. The core of the injection is placed in the TR, Swanson Atlas Levels 35-36, but a small part of the halo extends minimally into COApm and more rostrally into BLAp. The entire injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 33-36.
