The densest labeling in the AID was found at around 2.4 mm anterior to bregma and it was accompanied by relatively light labeling in the rostral end of the GI. Collator note, Swanson Atlas Levels 9-10.

Collator note: GU is labeled moderately at best in its caudal part. See Fig. 4, +0.1 - -0.9 bregma, Swansn Atlas Levels 16-20.

General description technique/protocol: The center of injection site in case 4302 was in cortical layer III (Fig. 1) of the caudal GI at 0.5 mm posterior to bregma and exhibited typical patterns of projections to cortical areas (Figs. 4 and 5). The extent of labeling (an aggregate of labeled cells) at the injections site was at maximum 500 micrometers in the rostrocaudal direction (Table 1) and confined to the GI in the dorsoventral direction (Fig. 1). Collator note: biocityin injection in the mid-rostrocaudal part of the VISC, just caudal from the ending of the gustatory cortex. The entire injection site is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 20-22.
