87571 Agranular insular area ventral partLateral nucleus of the amygdala strongbiocytin
The rostral half of the lateral nucleus was heavily labeled (Fig. 14A), although fibers and terminals were very largely confined to its ventral half (Fig. 14A,B). Collator note: labeling in the rostra LA, continuing in the BLAa. See Fig. 14A, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-27.

87572 Agranular insular area ventral partLateral nucleus of the amygdala moderatebiocytin
The rostral half of the lateral nucleus was heavily labeled (Fig. 14A), although fibers and terminals were very largely confined to its ventral half (Fig. 14A,B). Collator note: labeling in the ventral part of the mid-rostrocaudal LA, continuing in the BLAa. See Fig. 14B, Swanson Atlas Levels 28-29.

87624 Agranular insular area ventral partLateral nucleus of the amygdala moderate/strongbiocytin
Collator note: labeling of the ventromedial part of the LA, caudally. See Fig. 16B-C, Swanson Atlas Levels 28-29.
Shi C.J & Cassell M.D., 1998
General description technique/protocol: Case 22 had an injection in aAI at 2.7 mm anterior to bregma (Figs. 2, 12A). Collator note: small biocytin injection in the rostralmost AIv. The injection is completely included in the region and it is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 9-10.
