Virtually no labeling was observed elsewhere in the amygdaloid complex.

87625 Agranular insular area ventral partBasomedial nucleus of the amygdala anterior part strongbiocytin
The heaviest labeling in the amygdaloid complex was observed in the anterior cortical and anterior basomedial (BMA) nuclei. Collator note: heavy labeling of the BMAa. See Fig. 16A-B, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-29.

General description technique/protocol: Case 22 had an injection in aAI at 2.7 mm anterior to bregma (Figs. 2, 12A). Collator note: small biocytin injection in the rostralmost AIv. The injection is completely included in the region and it is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 9-10.
