87588 Agranular insular area ventral partBasomedial nucleus of the amygdala posterior part not presentbiocytin
Virtually no labeling was observed elsewhere in the amygdaloid complex.

87627 Agranular insular area ventral partBasomedial nucleus of the amygdala posterior part strongbiocytin
The heaviest labeling in the amygdaloid complex was observed in the anterior cortical and anterior basomedial (BMA) nuclei. Collator note: heavy labeling of the rostral BMAa. Caudally, the BMAp is empty of label. See Fig. 16B, Swanson Atlas Levels 28.

87628 Agranular insular area ventral partBasomedial nucleus of the amygdala posterior part not presentbiocytin
Collator note: caudal BMAp is devoid of label. See Fig. 16D, Swanson Atlas Levels 30-31.

General description technique/protocol: Case 22 had an injection in aAI at 2.7 mm anterior to bregma (Figs. 2, 12A). Collator note: small biocytin injection in the rostralmost AIv. The injection is completely included in the region and it is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 9-10.

Further details associated to record number 87628:
Position of injection: rostral
Topological position of injection: is contained
Extension of injection outside: none
The injection was performed in: left hemisphere
