light/moderate | PHAL | Collator note: PHAL injection in the central part of the PL, Swanson Atlas Levels 9-10. The characteristic shape of the anterior forceps of the claustrum was taken as landmark. | Fisk G.A. & Wyss J.M., 2000 |

General description technique/protocol: IL had dense hypothalamic projections, including the medial preoptic and anterior hypothalamic areas (AHA), LHA (anterior and tuberal parts as defined by Ref. [69]; Fig. 1C–F, Fig. 2A), paraventricular, and supramammillary nuclei. Collator note: Fig 1C-F correspond to Swanson Atlas Levels 18-29. Fibers with terminals have been identified on all drawings that included this nucleus. |
