General description technique/protocol: In the pons and medulla, labeled terminals were in the ventral pontine nuclei (not shown) and sparsely terminated in the locus coeruleus(Fig. 1L), the laterodorsal tegmental nucleus (LDT,Fig. 1L,M), and the NTS (Fig. 1O). |
