General description technique/protocol: PHA-L injections in IL labeled terminals in the medial portion of the caudate nucleus (Cn), the nucleus accumbens (nAc), the anterior olfactory nucleus (AOn), the diagonal band of Broca (dBB), the septum (Spt), and the bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BNST) (Fig. 1A–C). Collator note: the presence of the anterior forceps in Fig 1A. indicates that closest Swanson Atlas Levels are 8-9. AONpv and possible AONm maybe moderately-to-light innervated.
