General description technique/protocol: In the thalamus, labeled terminals were present in the paraventricular nucleus, the parataenial nucleus, the reuniens nucleus, the medialmost part of the anteromedial nucleus, the medial portion of the mediodorsal nucleus(Fig. 1D–F), and the gelatinous nucleus (not shown). Collator note: labeling in majority of labeled thalamic nuclei is remapped onto Swanson Atlas Levels: 23 (Fig 1D) to 29-30 (Fig 1F.). The gelatinosus nucleus appears to be the submedial thalamic nucleus. There is no labeling shown in Figure 1, but the text indicates the presence of terminals from ILA.
