General description technique/protocol: A few labeled axons were also present in the lateral nucleus(Fig. 1E–G) and the cortical nuclei of the amygdala (i.e., cortical anterior nucleus, periamygdalar cortex; not shown). Collator note: rare labeled terminals are found in all three levels that show lateral nucleus of the amygdala.
