Rostrally (Fig. 2A, B), there are HRP-positive cells in the prelimbic (PL) and infralimbic (IL) areas of the medial frontal cortex and in the posterior agranular insular area (AIp). The reactive cells in PL are located in layer II. Collator note: very few labeled cells in the ventral PL. Fig. 2A, B corresponds to Swanson Atlas Levels 9-13.

General description technique/protocol: Collator note: HRP injection in the LA, mapped in Atlas Levels 28-29. The core of the injection is in Atlas Level 28 (Fig. 2E), while the halo is shown up to levels 30-31 (Fig. 2F). Ventrally, the halo may label the dorsal part of the BLA.
