Basolateral nucleus of the amygdala anterior part | Anterior cingulate area dorsal part |
light/moderate | HRP/WGA | Anterograde label in the amygdaloid complex was restricted to the medial part of the basolateral nucleus and adjacent longitudinal association bundle (LAB) on both sides. Ipsilaterally, the distribution of anterograde label was congruent with sparse distribution of retrogradely of retrogradely labeled neurons in the basolateral nucleus (Fig. 3 A-D). Collator note: weak-moderate retrograde labeling of the BLAa, rostrocaudally. See Fig. 3A-C, Swanson Atlas Levels 21-29. | Cassell M.D. & Wright D.J., 1986 |

General description technique/protocol: Case MF-16 (Fig. 3) involved an injection into the anterior cingulate area (AC) approximately 2.5 mm in front of bregma. The injection site included the full depth of AC and a small part of the forceps minor of the corpus callosum (Fig. 3, top). Collator note: injection in the rostral ACAd. The halo is included in the region. The injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 10-11. |
