Case pg353-4. Soma notes 36 female Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-350g. 10 microliters of CT-HRP(.20%-.40%) were injected into one eye ?behind the lens into the vitreous chamber of the eye. pressure injection over 1 min. Terminal notes fibres can be seen in stria terminalis coursing rostrally from these more caudal levels. This pathway gives rise to the thalamic label reported earlier (anterior dorsal, anterior ventral thalamic nuc. and bed nuc. of the stria terminalis.).

Within the thalamus, the nucleus reuniens (RE), paratenial nucleus (PT), and ventral anterior-lateral complex (VAL) were densely labeled (Fig. 1L, L).

There was extensive labeling in medial wall areas IL, PL and Cg, and extending into the rostral portion of area Fr2 (Fig. 1A-C). Collator note: Swanson Atlas Levels 5-9. Neurons seem to concentrate in layers III and V-VI. For Mos, they do no go past the dorsal convexity. Rostrally the labeling in MOs is moderate, and tapers down more caudally.

Ipsilateral cortico-cortical projections include light terminal fields in medial orbital and infralimbic cortex (Fig. 3A-C), and a moderate to dense field in the lateral agranular cortex (AGl) adjacent to AGm (Fig. 3A-C). Collator note: Fig 3A, Swanson At
