Golgi neuron, bigeverywhereunknownuniformmoderate/strongAmong the subclasses of labeled neurons, Golgi neurons were labeled most heavily for GAD65 mRNA; the Purkinje cells exhibited lower levels of labeling than the Golgi cells, and the stellate and basket cells were lightly labeled (Fig. 13C). Furthermore, the intensities of labeling for all classes of neurons were substantially lower for GAD65 mRNA than for GAD67 mRNA (Fig. 13B,C), and only after longer color reaction times were the neurons labeled convincingly for GAD65 mRNA.
