1422 Entorhinal area, lateral partField CA1 existsHRP
Case pg355, fig7. Soma notes HRP reaction product found exclusively in cells of layer III, particularly in lateral entorhinal area & these were labeled bilaterally.. Terminal notes In 2 cases (H1, 24 hrs survival) injs centred in CA1 region of regio superior, relatively distant from CA1/CA2 transition (in both cases, no evidence of spread of HRP into strat mole of fascia dentata..
Steward O, Scoville SA., 1976
1423 Entorhinal area, lateral partField CA1 existsHRP
Case pg351-6, fig2. Soma notes ?pattern of retrograde labeling of cells in entorhinal area illustrated in fig2. Ipsi: HRP evident in cells in layer II (stellate, mediolateral extent) & III (pyramidal form, preferentially labeled in lateral portions) Contra: cells in layer III. Terminal notes Figure 2-6 illustrate 1 of 8 cases with HRP injs ?nto entorhinal terminal fields in regio superior & fascia dentata (HD2). Inj centred in strat molec of fascia dentata but spread into strat lac-mol of reg sup. All injs restricted to rostral 1/2 of HPF.
Steward O, Scoville SA., 1976
1424 Entorhinal area, lateral partField CA1 existsHRP
Case pg351-6. Soma notes Labeled cells were not observed beyond boundary of entorhinal cortex with adjacent neocortex (boundary coincident with the rhinal fissure) although labeled cells of layer III did extend into depths of rhinal fissure into area ~prorhinal area in monkeys..

1425 Entorhinal area, lateral partDentate gyrus existsHRP
Case pg355, fig10. Soma notes In these cases HRP reaction product found almost exclusively in calles of layer II & these cells labeled exclusively ipsilaterally. Careful searching revealed a few lightly labeled cells in layer II of contra ENT. Terminal notes In 2 cases (D1 & D2) injections were centred in stratum moleculare if fascia dentata with minimum spread into strat lac-mol of regio superior. Inj site more diffuse than injs of fig3 & 9. --fig10: Inj site seems to involve CA3--.

Case pg359. Soma notes In addition labeled cells were also found in layer III of entorhinal region proper.. Terminal notes 2 animals received HRP injections of 0.5-0.7u if HRP into entorhinal region of one hemisphere.

1427 ParasubiculumEntorhinal area, lateral part existsHRP
Case pg359. Soma notes cells in both contralateral presubiculum & parasubiculum clearly exhibited retrograde transport of HRP. Terminal notes 2 animals received HRP injections of 0.5-0.7u if HRP into entorhinal region of one hemisphere.

1429 PresubiculumField CA1 very lightHRP
Case pg355,357-9. Soma notes absence of labeled cells in presubiculum & parasubiculum following injections into hippocampal formation suggests that these regions do not give rise to hippocampal afferents. Terminal notes In 2 cases (H1, 24 hrs survival) injs centred in CA1 region of regio superior, relatively distant from CA1/CA2 transition (in both cases, no evidence of spread of HRP into strat mole of fascia dentata..
