90268 Main olfactory bulbPiriform area moderateHRP
As depicted in Figure 2 for case 7 (sections A-I), such injections give rise to extensive label over much of the anteromedial, ventral, ventrolateral, and lateral parts of the posterior piriform lobe. In all of these cases, label is detected over axons immediately beneath the pia in the superficially located sublayer IA.
Kosel KC, Van Hoesen GW & West JR., 1981
General description technique/protocol: Collator note: large HRP injection in the rostral MOB, rostral than Swanson Atlas Level 1. The injection does not label AOB.

90269 Main olfactory bulbPostpiriform transition area moderateHRP
At levels immediately posterior to the posterior cortical amygdaloid nucleus (Fig. 2, sections A-D, and Fig. 3, A-D), label is detected over the full extent of the piriform lobe covering all areas from the medial bank of the rhinal sulcus to the subicular cortices of the hippocampal formation. In all of these cases, label is detected over axons immediately beneath the pia in the superficially located sublayer IA. Collator note: continuous label of the ENTl, TR, and ENTmv-ventrally. See Fig. 2A-D, Swanson Atlas Levels 37-40.

At more posterior levels through the piriform lobe (Fig. 2, sections E-L, and Fig. 3, E-F) the medial extent of label is truncated and does not extend to the subicular cortices. Collator note: only the caudal part of the ENTl, layer I is labeled continuously. The label stops abruptly at the border with ENTm, and laterodorsally, with ECT. See Fig. 2E-L, Swanson Atlas Levels 41-45.
