Case pg351, fig5a-e. Soma notes 36 female Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-350g. 10 microliters of CT-HRP(.20%-.40%) were injected into one eye ?behind the lens into the vitreous chamber of the eye. pressure injection over 1 min. Terminal notes Terminal label evident throughout the anteroventral preoptic nucleus..

Fourth, several nuclei of the hypothalamus project to the BSTvl; these inputs originate from the medial preoptic region (Figs. 4D,E, 5C), arcuate nucleus (Figs. 4G–J, 5I), dorsomedial hypothalamic nucleus (Fig. 4H,I), lateral hypothalamic area (Figs. 4F–L, 7D), parasubthalamic nucleus in the dorsolateral hypothalamus (Figs. 4K,L, 5H), and posterior hypothalamic nucleus (Fig. 4K,L). Collator note: see Figure 4D-E. In Figure 4, the level of the injection site, the entire part of the tissue, which is medial to BSTvl, is labeled more or less uniformly, with a "halo" of intense signal just around the nucleus (BSTdm and fu). See Atlas Levels 19-20 for MPN subnuclei.
