Case pg353-4. Soma notes 36 female Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-350g. 10 microliters of CT-HRP(.20%-.40%) were injected into one eye ?behind the lens into the vitreous chamber of the eye. pressure injection over 1 min. Terminal notes fibres can be seen in stria terminalis coursing rostrally from these more caudal levels. This pathway gives rise to the thalamic label reported earlier (anterior dorsal, anterior ventral thalamic nuc. and bed nuc. of the stria terminalis.).

Case pg180, fig5. Soma notes Within anterior thalamic nuclei, labeled cells concentrated in AM although a very few were ound in AD & AV as well. --Fig5: sparse-. Terminal notes 4 injections of HRP were placed in cingulate cortical are 24b. In case illustrated in fig5, inj placed in posterior part of area 24b at lvl of rostral pole of thalamus.

There was extensive labeling in medial wall areas IL, PL and Cg, and extending into the rostral portion of area Fr2 (Fig. 1A-C). Collator note: Swanson Atlas Levels 5-9. Neurons seem to concentrate in layers III and V-VI.

Efferent projections to cortical structures in Case P391 were most dense in prefrontal, cingulate, and retrosplenial areas and (with the exception of the ventrolateral orbital area) only weakly present in cortical regions around the rhinal sulcus. Collator note: ORBm is labeled at least moderately in the deep layers (V-VI). See Fig. 7A-B, Swanson Atlas Levels 5-7.
