RetinaAnteroventral nucleus of thalamus existsnot knownCholera toxin conjugated to HRP
Case pg353-4. Soma notes 36 female Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-350g. 10 microliters of CT-HRP(.20%-.40%) were injected into one eye ?behind the lens into the vitreous chamber of the eye. pressure injection over 1 min. Terminal notes fibres can be seen in stria terminalis coursing rostrally from these more caudal levels. This pathway gives rise to the thalamic label reported earlier (anterior dorsal, anterior ventral thalamic nuc. and bed nuc. of the stria terminalis.).

Case pg7-8, fig4. Soma notes HRP +ve cells observed in subicular cortex thorughout rostrocaudal extent of dorsal hippocampal formation with a few labeled cells also present in posterior subicular cortex. Confined to a single layer in prosub, sub & presub.. Terminal notes HRP injected into components of ATN in 22 animals. Case106: In this case (& repeated in 5 animals) a large injection included lateral portion of anteromedial nucleus & adjacent part of anteroventral nucleus..

Case pg433, fig6. Soma notes At midrostrocaudal level of AV, injs were confined to dorsal & lateral, dorsal, ventral & medial part. In case R532, an injection involved dorsal & lateral parts of AV.. Terminal notes Terminals ?hereas in medialmost part of midseptotemporal subiculum seen in deep part of pyramidal cell layer, they were seen in deep part of pyramidal cell layer. --Fig6: mod--.

Case pg581, fig7,8,9. Soma notes Most caudally placed PHA-L injections in intermediate subiculum (case SUB-4). Inj labeled cell bodies as well as their dendrites & axons.. Terminal notes dense anterograde labeling in entire rostrocaudal extent of prelimbic cortex ?Prelimbic cortex displayed varicose fibres & terminal plexuses in all layers..
