RetinaAnteroventral nucleus of thalamus existsnot knownCholera toxin conjugated to HRP
Case pg353-4. Soma notes 36 female Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 200-350g. 10 microliters of CT-HRP(.20%-.40%) were injected into one eye ?behind the lens into the vitreous chamber of the eye. pressure injection over 1 min. Terminal notes fibres can be seen in stria terminalis coursing rostrally from these more caudal levels. This pathway gives rise to the thalamic label reported earlier (anterior dorsal, anterior ventral thalamic nuc. and bed nuc. of the stria terminalis.).

Anteroventral nucleus of thalamusField CA3 existsnot knownHRP
Case pg338-9. Soma notes In anterior thalamus labeled neurons discovered in : anterodorsal, anteroventral, anterolateral --LD???-, & anteromedial. Ipsilateral only.. Terminal notes 5 animals injected with HP in rostral CA3 according to stereotaxic coordinates. HP inj site was extremely ocnfined & occupied no more than 1/4 of structure under study. --No mention of spread into neighbouring structures.--.

Field CA3Subiculum ventral part existsnot knownautoradiography
Case pg699, fig14C. Soma notes Injections in the dorsal part of the temporal part of CA3 (R105, R171, THR2). Terminal notes terminal fields do not include septal pole of hippocampus but for the most part are confined to temporal half of Ammon s horn & ventral subiculum.

Field CA3Subiculum ventral part light/moderatenot knownradioactive aminoacids
Collator note: labeling of the ventral SUB. See Fig 14C, page 699. Assumed the label is at least moderate (see the other CA3 connections reports inserted by this collator in the associated reference).
