General description technique/protocol: In seven, the PHAL injection was centered in the BSTov, and three of the injection sites were very small and apparently restricted entirely (Fig. 1, experiments BST22, BST 127), or almost entirely (Fig. 1, experiment BST120) to the nucleus....The projections labeled in experiment BST120 are illustrated in detail because it has the largest injection site virtually limited to the BSTov (Figs. 1, 2A-C), and because the projection pattern is indistinguishable from that in other experiments with a PHAL injection essentially restricted to the BSTov.
