Report ID | Sending structure | Receiving structure | Projection strength | Technique | General description projection | Collator | Associated reference |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
4814 | Bed nuclei of the stria terminalis oval nucleus | Paraventricular nucleus of the thalamus | very light | PHAL | Collator note | Dong HW, Petrovich GD, Watts AG, Swanson LW, 2001 | |
12157 | Bed nuclei of the stria terminalis oval nucleus | Paraventricular nucleus of the thalamus | not present | PHAL | This projection is considered to be nonexistent since the identification of fiber tracts was performed across all atlas levels. | Dong HW, Petrovich GD, Watts AG, Swanson LW, 2001 |
General description technique/protocol: In seven, the PHAL injection was centered in the BSTov, and three of the injection sites were very small and apparently restricted entirely (Fig. 1, experiments BST22, BST 127), or almost entirely (Fig. 1, experiment BST120) to the nucleus....The projections labeled in experiment BST120 are illustrated in detail because it has the largest injection site virtually limited to the BSTov (Figs. 1, 2A-C), and because the projection pattern is indistinguishable from that in other experiments with a PHAL injection essentially restricted to the BSTov. |
