Bed nuclei of the stria terminalis anterior division fusiform nucleus | Lateral septal nucleus ventral part |
very light | PHAL | Collator note: Atlas level 19, Swanson 1998. Contains fibers of passage. Figure 6G from the paper. | Dong HW, Petrovich GD, Watts AG, Swanson LW, 2001 |

Bed nuclei of the stria terminalis anterior division fusiform nucleus | Lateral septal nucleus ventral part |
very light | PHAL | PHAL-labeled axons ...also extend dorsomedially into the lateral septal nucleus, where small numbers of terminal boutons are observed, mainly in the rostral and ventral parts (Fig 6B-H). Collator note: Atlas level 20, Swanson 1998. Possible fibers of passage. Figure 6H from the paper. | Dong HW, Petrovich GD, Watts AG, Swanson LW, 2001 |

General description technique/protocol: Nevertheless, several PHAl control injections were made in areas surrounding the BSTfu, including the dorsomedial nucleus and subcommissural zone of the BST. These two areas were examined in some detail because they contained a few labeled cells in the experiment to be described in detail (BST92). |
