40687 Ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus ventrolateral partDorsal premammillary nucleus lightCTB
At tuberal levels of the hypothalamus, a large number of marked cells was observed in the anterior and dorsomedial parts of the ventromedial nucleus, whereas only a scattered retrograde labeling could be found in other parts of the nucleus (Figs. 3H–J, 4A,B).
Comoli E., Ribeiro-Barbosa E.R. & Canteras N.S., 2000
General description technique/protocol: Several control PHAL injections were also made into various areas that contained moderate to dense retrograde labeling in experiments with a CTb deposit confined to the PMd, including the infralimbic and prelimbic areas (two rats), interfascicular nucleus of the BST (one rat), intermediate portions of subiculum and field CA1 (three rats), retinoceptive region of the lateral hypothalamic area (two rats), intermediate lateral hypothalamic area at caudal levels of the anterior hypothalamic nucleus (one rat), and ventral tegmental nucleus (two rats).
