82000 Piriform areaOrbital area ventrolateral part moderateretrograde tracers
Cortical labeling was found in focal portions of the anterior olfactory nucleus and piriform cortex (Fig. 4A-D). Collator note: Swanson Atlas Level 6.

82005 Piriform areaOrbital area ventrolateral part light/moderateretrograde tracers
Collator note: the labeling in caudal PIR is much more reduced caudally. Fig. 4B, C, Swanson Atlas Levels 11-16.
Reep R.L., Corwin J.V. & Ling V., 1996
General description technique/protocol: An injection of fast blue was centered in layers I-V of area VO, with minor involvement of areas MO and VLO as well (Figs. 3A, 8A). Collator note: this injection is mapped in the ORBv, as the authors, but the level shown in Fig 3A is closer to Swanson Atlas Level 5 than Swanson Atlas 7. A band of labeled neurons is shown as a marker of the pippette. No Nissl stain to compare.
