Report ID | Sending structure | Receiving structure | Projection strength | Technique | General description projection | Collator | Associated reference |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
90861 | Piriform-amygdaloid area | Postpiriform transition area | moderate | Fluorogold | Collator note: at least moderately labeled rostrally. See Fig. 3I, Swanson Atlas Levels 28-29. | Santiago AC &Shammah-Lagnado SJ., 2005 | |
90862 | Piriform-amygdaloid area | Postpiriform transition area | moderate/strong | Fluorogold | Collator note: moderate-strong labeling of the PAA, especially layer I, caudally. See Fig. 3J-K, Swanson Atlas Levels 30-31. | Santiago AC &Shammah-Lagnado SJ., 2005 | |
90867 | Piriform-amygdaloid area | Postpiriform transition area | light/moderate | Fluorogold | Modest retrograde labeling [in] caudal part of the anterior basolateral nucleus (Fig. 3I,J) and lateral part of the amygdalohippocampal transition area (Fig. 3J,K). Collator note: PA tends to be labeled rostrolaterally. See Fig. 3J-K, Swanson Atlas Levels 30-31. | Santiago AC &Shammah-Lagnado SJ., 2005 | |
90868 | Piriform-amygdaloid area | Postpiriform transition area | very light | Fluorogold | Collator note: 2-3 labeled cells in the caudal PA. See Fig. 3L, Swanson Atlas Level 33. | Santiago AC &Shammah-Lagnado SJ., 2005 |
General description technique/protocol: This case has a large FG injection in APir which involved slightly the caudolateral part of the posterior basolateral amygdaloid nucleus (Figs. 1, 2A). The results suggest that APir receives widespread inputs, most of them from ipsilateral telencephalic regions (Fig. 3; Table 1). Collator note: large FG injection in the TR, mid-rostrocaudally. The core of the injection is placed in the TR, Swanson Atlas Levels 35-36, but a small part of the halo extends minimally into COApm and more rostrally into BLAp. The entire injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 33-36. |
