Cortical nucleus of the amygdala posterior part lateral zone | Nucleus accumbens |
light/moderate | PHAL | labeled terminal fields inthe lateral shell of the nucleus accumbens (Fig. 2E,F). Some fibers also could be observed in the caudal
lateral portion of the shell of the nucleus accumbens (Fig. 2E). Collator note: the terminal field shown in Fig 2D, in the ACB, is more caudal. NDB is present. However, the cutting angle is clearly different than that of Swanson Atlas. | Ubeda-Banon I, Novejarque A, Mohedano-Moriano A, Pro-Sistiaga P, de la Rosa-Prieto C, Insausti R, Martinez-Garcia F, Lanuza E & Martinez-Marcos A, 2007 |

Cortical nucleus of the amygdala posterior part lateral zone | Nucleus accumbens |
strong | PHAL | dense anterograde labeling was observed in the core of nucleus accumbens (Fig. 3D) | Ubeda-Banon I, Novejarque A, Mohedano-Moriano A, Pro-Sistiaga P, de la Rosa-Prieto C, Insausti R, Martinez-Garcia F, Lanuza E & Martinez-Marcos A, 2007 |

General description technique/protocol: Four injections of biotinylated dextran-amine were placed in the posterolateral cortical amygdaloid nucleus. Case 7705 is described as an example. The injection site affected a few cells of layer II (Fig. 2A). Collator note: injection in the rostral COApl, layer I. The injection site shown in Fig. 2A is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 28-30 (MEAav and pd are present as well as COApm). |
