Within the cerebral cortex, transported label is found in layer I of the infralimbic area, the ventral and posterior agranular insular areas and the perirhinal cortex, as well as in parts of the prepiriform cortex. General description technique/protocol: In experiment R278 (fig. 25), a small injection of tritiated proline labels cells heavily in the anterior cortical nucleus and the periamygdaloid cortex. Collator note: injection in the mid-rostrocaudal COApl, with possible involvement of the caudal part of the COAa. The halo enters into the caudal MEAa and in the BMAp. The injection site is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Level 28.
