In general, the area 7 injections resulted in label in layers II, III and V of the somatosensory label largely being restricted to the head and limb areas, with no label being observed in the extensive barrel fields. General description technique/protocol: Collator note: retrograde tracer injection in the rostral part of the PTLp, completely included in the region. As shown in Fig. 3, the injection is made only in the superficial layers. Labeled neurons in deeper layers are seen below the injection. The injection is mapped here onto Swanson Atlas Levels 32-33.
