In the presubiculum, a dense plexus of labeled fibers is present, mainly in the dorsal and intermediate portions, with a preference for Layers I and III (Figs. 6A–D). Collator note: the dense terminal field in the region labeled as presubiculum by the authors is distributed both in PRE and in postsubiculum in the Swanson Atlas Levels 39-42. The angle of cutting is different, therefore the mapping was made using the local landmarks (the dorsal tip of the hippocampus, the shape, size and curvature of the posterior forceps of the corpus callosum.

General description technique/protocol: Collator note: case 90233p, small injection made in the mid-rostrocaudal ACAd, covering layers II-V. See Fig. 2 for its representation in midsaggittal plane. The injection is mapped here in Swanson Atlas Levels 13-15.
