General description technique/protocol: In case FC-20 (fig. 51, a small deposit of label is located in the ventral part of area 24, but is more posterior than the placement of FC-37. This area, like the supragenual cortex, is characterized by an MD-input from the latera1 subnucleus (Leonard, '69; Krettek and Price, '77b). The label deposit involves cortex of the same cytoarchitectural appearance as the supragenual area and does not encroach upon the caudally contiguous retrosplenial cortex. Collator note: the injection is shown in Fig. 5B, which corresponds to Swanson Atlas Levels 20-21.
