86291 Anterior cingulate area ventral partNucleus reuniens caudal division median part moderate/strongradioactive aminoacids
[…] fibers are labeled in the ventromedial and reuniens nuclei of the thalamus. There is no apparent topographical pattern in the projection to either of these nuclei. Collator note: see Fig. 4C-F, Swanson Atlas Levels 24-29.

Collator note: See Fig. 5C, Swanson Atlas Levels 24-25.

General description technique/protocol: In case FC-37 (fig. 4), a small deposit of label is centered in the ventral part of the anterior cingulate area (area 24) at the level of the genu corporis callosi. The injection appears to involve both the dorsal and ventral divisions distinguished by Krettek and Price (1977b) in the anterior cingulate area both of which receive their MD-afferentation from the lateral subnucleus. The dorsal part of area 24, which corresponds to Leonard (1969) shoulder cortex, does not appear to be significantly involved by the label deposit. Collator note: the injection site is shown in Fig 4C, Swanson Atlas Levels 11-12. The injection covers all layers and extends dorsally in the ACAd. The injection is made in the rostral part of the ACAv.
