Ectorhinal area | Orbital area ventral part |
moderate | retrograde tracers | Collator note: labeled neurons in the perirhinal cortex, as continuation from the anterior insular cortices, rostrocaudally. The labeled cells are shown mostly in the deep layers (VI). Labeled cells also extend dorsally in the ectorhinal cortex and possibly in the ventral part of the TEv. In the ECT, the labeled cells are concentrated more rostrally. Swanson Atlas Levels 32-39. | Reep R.L., Corwin J.V. & Ling V., 1996 |

General description technique/protocol: An injection of fast blue was centered in layers I-V of area VO, with minor involvement of areas MO and VLO as well (Figs. 3A, 8A). Collator note: this injection is mapped in the ORBv, as the authors, but the level shown in Fig 3A is closer to Swanson Atlas Level 5 than Swanson Atlas 7. A band of labeled neurons is shown as a marker of the pippette. No Nissl stain to compare. |
