In case FC-3 (area 32 injection), labeled fibers enter the thalamus through the anterior segment of the inferior thalamic peduncle, traverse and appear to terminate densely within the rostral part of the nucleus reticularis thalami, and course, grouped in tiny fascicles, dorsomedially through the anteromedial nucleus to the paratenial (PT), mediodorsal (MD), and lateral habenular nuclei (figs. 2D,E).
