80922 Retrosplenial area ventral partPrimary motor area moderatebiotinylated dextran amine (BDA)
An injection into the rostral part of area 29c labeled massive terminal fields in caudal parts of areas 24a and 24b and in caudal parts of the primary and secondary motor areas, particularly in layers I and III (Figs. 1P, Q and T, and 2C and D). Collator note: Fig 1Q, which approximately corresponds to Swanson Atlas Levels 21-23. MOp and MOs are intensely stained in layer III. Layer I has many fibers. Layer II seems almost devoid of fibers, and the most deep ones are weak-to-moderately labeled.

General description technique/protocol: The injections involved all cortical layers and were successfully made into […] area 29c (11 cases) […]. Collator note: see Fig 1P,T. BDA injection made in the rostral part of the RSPv. Comparing the local curvature of the cortex, the size and shape of the dorsal forceps of the corpus callosum, and the relative position and size of the hippocampus with respect of the fiber systems, we mapped the injection site in Swanson Atlas Levels 30-32.
