The basolateral nucleus of the amygdala contained labeled cells in the ventral portion of its anterior segment (Fig. 3D,E). Collator note: labeling of both BLAa and BlAp, in their ventral parts, Swanson Atlas Levels 26-28.

General description technique/protocol: An injection of fast blue was centered in layers I-V of area VO, with minor involvement of areas MO and VLO as well (Figs. 3A, 8A). Collator note: this injection is mapped in the ORBv, as the authors, but the level shown in Fig 3A is closer to Swanson Atlas Level 5 than Swanson Atlas 7. A band of labeled neurons is shown as a marker of the pippette. No Nissl stain to compare.
