Collator note: see Fig 6A page 341, which roughly corresponds to Swanson Atlas Levels 19-20. The shape and size of lateral ventricle, anterior commissure and 3rd ventricle are considered to be landmarks. Also, the relative position of the CP/LV was used. The general pattern of labeling is increasingly stronger towards the caudoputamen (CP) and internal capsule. Therefore the BST nuclei situated more lateral to anterior commissure are more likely to be stained in this Figure.
