Calretinin (CR) expressing neuronrostralleft hemispheregradient...this nucleus [BSt] is mostly populated by CR and CB cells. These...2 cell types show and overlapping distribution, although CR cells tend to be shifted from a central position rostrally (Fig. 1D) to a more lateral position caudally (Fig. 2B). Collator note: experimental results have been directly mapped onto Swanson-98 parcellation scheme. Fig 1C corresponds to Atlas Level 16. Only the ventral portion of BST is labeled with CR-expressing neurons.
