Calretinin (CR) expressing neuroncaudo-lateralleft hemispherepatchy...this nucleus [BSt] is mostly populated by CR and CB cells. These...2 cell types show and overlapping distribution, although CR cells tend to be shifted from a central position rostrally (Fig. 1D) to a more lateral position caudally (Fig. 2B). Collator note: experimental results have been directly mapped onto Swanson-98 parcellation scheme. Fig 2B corresponds to Atlas Levels 21-22, but the distributions and positions of major fiber tracts are different. All labeled cells are grouped in a band from the stria medularis to the internal capsule.
