This labeling clearly distinguished the anterior pretectal nucleus from the adjacent thalamic nuclei, such as the medial geniculate, that contained virtually no labeled neurons (Fig. 7A). Collator note: the section shown in Fig. 7 roughly corresponds to Atlas level 38, possibly more caudal.
